ansvar.co.nz is a web site of Ansvar Insurance Ltd ("We", "our" and "us" in this Internet Privacy Statement). By using this site, you agree to the Internet Privacy Statement of our www.ansvar.co.nz web site ("the Web Site"), which is set out below. The Internet Privacy Statement relates to the collection and use of personal information you may supply to us through your conduct on the Web Site.

We are bound by the Information Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1993 ("New Zealand Privacy Act").

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Internet Privacy Statement at any time. This Internet Privacy Statement is in addition to any other terms and conditions applicable to our Web Site. Personal information about visitors to our Web Sites is collected only when knowingly and voluntarily submitted. For example, we may need to collect such information to provide you with further services or to answer or forward any requests or enquiries. You agree that we are authorised to use and disclose the information we collect from you in the administration of your policy and any other policies with us on which you are listed.  Where you provide us with personal information about any other person to enable us to administer your insurance, you confirm that you have the authority from those persons to disclose such information and to authorise us to use and disclose the information in the administration of your policy and all other policies with us on which the person is named or listed.  We may share personal information with other members of the Ansvar Insurance Group both in New Zealand and overseas, with authorised service providers to which we outsource certain functions and with the Insurance Claims Register Limited. This may involve the transfer of personal information overseas and where this occurs, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the destination overseas nominated by the Ansvar Insurance Group.

Use of Information

Personal information that visitors submit to our Web Sites is used only for the purpose for which it is submitted unless we disclose other uses in this Internet Privacy Statement or at the time of collection. Copies of correspondence sent from the Web Site, that may contain personal information, may be stored as archives for record-keeping and back-up purposes only.
